Financial Analysis Training for Investment Professionals

Six-month intensive program starting September 2025

We built this program after watching too many analysts struggle with real-world scenarios that textbooks don't cover. You'll work through actual market data, learn techniques used by working professionals, and develop skills that matter when you're evaluating companies under pressure.

Core Training Modules

Each module runs for three weeks with hands-on exercises using real financial data

01

Statement Analysis Fundamentals

Reading financial statements is one thing. Understanding what management isn't telling you is another. We focus on spotting inconsistencies and red flags that actually show up in practice.

02

Valuation Methods

DCF models look elegant in spreadsheets but fall apart when assumptions change. You'll learn how to build flexible models and adjust them quickly when markets move.

03

Sector-Specific Analysis

Tech companies and manufacturing firms need different lenses. This module covers the metrics that matter for different industries, especially in emerging markets.

04

Risk Assessment Frameworks

Risk isn't just volatility. We examine credit analysis, operational risks, and how to quantify factors that don't fit neatly into formulas.

Learn from Working Analysts

Our instructors still work in the field. Soren Blackwell spent eight years at a Buenos Aires investment firm before shifting to training. Livia Thornton covers Latin American equities and brings current market perspective to every session.

They're not reading from outdated case studies. When they talk about quarterly earnings analysis or dealing with incomplete disclosures, they're sharing what they encountered last month.

Marcus Vega handles distressed debt analysis and runs our risk assessment module. Eloise Crane worked in corporate finance before moving to the buy side, so she knows both angles of financial reporting.

What You'll Actually Do

Forget multiple-choice tests. Every week includes analysis assignments using current data. Some weeks you'll model a company. Other weeks you'll critique existing research reports or explain why two analysts reached different conclusions about the same stock.

By month four, you're building complete investment memos. These aren't theoretical exercises — they follow the format that analysts use when pitching ideas internally.

  • Weekly analysis assignments using real company data
  • Monthly presentations defending your work
  • Access to financial databases and screening tools
  • Small cohorts with direct instructor feedback
  • Recording access for review and reference

Program Structure and Commitment

Classes meet twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM Argentina time. That's five hours of direct instruction per week, plus another eight to twelve hours for assignments and reading.

It's designed for people working full-time. But it's not casual — you need those practice hours to develop actual skill. Missing more than three sessions means you'll struggle to keep up with the analysis work.

Enrollment opens in June 2025 with a limit of eighteen participants. We cap it there because everyone needs regular feedback on their analysis work.

  • Live sessions twice weekly with replay access
  • Structured assignments with individual feedback
  • Small group discussions and peer review
  • Technical support for software and data access
  • Certificate upon completion of all modules
